Capacitating Indigenous Leaders to Establish Sustainable Reproducing Churches
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
A global initiative of the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches
In April of 2019, an official partnership called the Africa Church Planting Initiative (ACPI) was launched with 3 directors: Bishop Isaac Soda, Director of Partnerships and Doctrine; Pastor John Mutandwa, Director of Church Planting; and Pastor Matt Boyers, US Director. The first churches were planted in Mozambique in early August 2019. By the end of May 2022 there were 34 church plants in five countries: Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, and Botswana. Future projections include plants in locations such as Madagascar, Kenya, and Uganda.
